Statistics Explained

  • Characters - Total characters including spaces
  • Characters (no spaces) - Characters excluding all whitespace
  • Words - Number of words (separated by spaces)
  • Sentences - Counted by period, exclamation, or question marks
  • Paragraphs - Blocks of text separated by blank lines
  • Lines - Number of lines (line breaks)
  • Reading Time - Based on average reading speed of 200 wpm
  • Speaking Time - Based on average speaking speed of 150 wpm
